Match Report:
We travelled to St Bedes Mentone expecting a tough encounter and we certainly got that and a little more !
The scene was set in the first 10 minutes when St Bedes kicking with a 2 goal wind had 4 on the board and we were struggling to get any cohesive playmaking together. We were constantly defending in our back half and under pressure.
The second quarter was a little better but we could only register 1 major and went into half time some 61 points down.
The second half we matched St Bedes for large parts of the game however we kicked 12 points and probably 6 of those should have been goals.
Not a great day however the second half showed what happens when players listen and apply themselves to team instructions.
Joe Mc Clelland had a great game with Zac Amos also playing well.
Big game against Parkdale who will want some revenge from last year’s Premiership loss to us. Get to training at 5:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, if you cant make it ring Josh.
