RESERVES match Report: ROUND 5
BEAUMARIS vs CAULFIELD GRAMMARIANS
Match Report:
By Seb Gotch
4-1. Round 5 took us out to Shark Park where we clashed heads with a determined Beaumaris. On the back of some good form and opportunity we introduced some new faces who had been banging the door down in the 3s.
On the back of a fantastic win over uni the boys had a big focus of maintaining the standards required to be a force in this league.
A brilliant start from co-captain Will Kingwill got the boys heading in the right direction and from early stages in the second quarter the game was predominantly played in our forward half.
Credit to a resolute Beaumaris outfit who mounted a charge mid way through the game, however the class of our back six led by Jackson Small proved to be too strong seeing us run away with another handy victory.
Next week brings us back home where we come up against an undefeated Scotch outfit, as previously mentioned our proud club thrives on opportunities to test yourself against the best, to raise the bar and find out just how much we have to give.
Come along and see your reserves from 11:40am on Saturday, your support could be the difference.
Caulfield Grammarians 11 - 13 - 79 defeated Beaumaris 6 - 5 - 41
