RESERVES match Report: ROUND 3
FITZROY vs CAULFIELD GRAMMARIANS
Match Report:
By Seb Gotch
Round 3 took us on a trip down memory lane as we fronted up against a very proud Fitzroy.
The boys were eager to bounce back after a disappointing loss to St Bedes before the Easter break and it wasn’t long into the first quarter for the fields to make their mark.
A star studded forward line led by club ‘big man’ Keegan Stewart looked incredibly dangerous every time the ball came in.
Mr week in week out Josh Rogers once again showed why he’s one of the most reliable midfielders in the comp and a roaming utility in Robert Handel wound back the clock to his primary school lunch time days where he quite literally had the ball on a string. Fields evidently running away comprehensive victors.
Round 4 appears to be one hell of a show down. Uni who have started the year like a burning down house will give us an opportunity to test ourselves against what looks to be the best in the comp. As the great Roger Crawford once said “ being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.” - its time to go 3-1.
Basman.
Caulfield Grammarians 16 - 11 - 107 defeated Fitzroy 03 - 10 - 28
